Father was a long time Rotarian and attended some meetings as a kid! Worked for 27 years as a transportation director in Southern Maine and has been here since beginning of Covid! DOT has a central place to meet and plan, gather information for public outreach freight transportation and system analysis. They look at policy and trends, public transportation plans and bike/pedestrian planners. There are 3 regional planners, an active transportation planner and work with community service/regional staff. Upcoming projects include highways and bridges, preservation paving and multimodal needs as well. Rockland/Rockport/Warren Rt 90 paving, Southport Bridge on Rt 27, etc.
