Move 2004 from Penn. Owner and founder of Heiwa Tofu 13 years ago. NE grown soybeans, tender and firm. Earned a BS in Astro Physics and taught High School Science. Starting looking for something to do and Tofu fell into place for him. Worked in the beginning out of a garage, $15K investment and began!

Jeff’s daughters grew up in this! Worked part time teaching till he got his first distributor. Slowly built his business, working on manufacturing and began to learn about business. Moved to Belfast after year 4, began vacuum packing and business began to grow.  Then moved again to Rockport, where they are currently located, picking up business every year. 4 person production line.

180 Hannaford stores! 6K pounds of Tofu per week, peaked at 10K pounds per week during the pandemic. 6 full time employees and one part timer! Looking to still expand customer base. Going to build a targeting marketing plan.
