West Bay Rotary Grant Applications open March 1 for Spring Applications!
 
Applications:
  • March 1 and September 1: Issue call for grant applications; PDF available on WBR website
  • April 1 and October 1 End Of Day: Application deadlines (October 31 for 2023 cycle only)
  • April-June and October-November: Grants Committee reviews applications
  • June 1 and January 1: Grant commitments made, contingent on receiving final grant reports; grant denial notices mailed; reminder of Final Grant Report due date sent
  • May 31 and November 31: Final Grant Reports due
  • June 30 and January 31: Checks mailed (or earlier if final reports rec’d)
  • June and January: Grantees make presentations to full membership
Criteria:
  • Application is completed by posted deadline
  • Need fits within one or more funding categories (see Rotary Int’l guidelines)
  • Applicant is a charitable cause or nonprofit organization; specify if new applicant
  • Grant applies toward general operations, specific Program, or defined Project; no capital expenses. (Note that preference is given to specific Programs and defined Projects.)
  • Grant funds are fully applied to Knox County and Lincolnville area residents
  • Goals are clearly stated and measurable
  • Funds will be used within 12 months of receipt
  • No more than one grant per year for each charitable cause/organization
  • Amount requested is no less than $250, no greater than $1500
