WISE Zambia

The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club recently presented a check for $4,500 in continuing support of the WISE Zambia program, which supports empowerment and economic independence for vulnerable women and children in Zambia through educational, vocational, and agricultural initiatives. The funds come from the club and Rotary District 7790, which consists of 26 Rotary Clubs in Quebec and 31 in Maine. |

Hello Midcoast Habitat Women Build Alumni! We're thrilled to announce that Women Build 2025 is right around the corner and as a valued past participant, we are extending early access to register before we open it up to the public on March 21. This year, in addition to doubling our number of build days to four—May 3, 4, 6, and 7—we're also doubling our fundraising goal to $10,000! This increased goal will allow more participants to get involved, helping us strengthen our community and create lasting change. We’re incredibly grateful for each and every one of our Women Build participants—your dedication, enthusiasm, and generosity truly Empower and Impact lives throughout the Midcoast. West Bay Rotary Friends!
We’re throwing a special Tiki Time to say a big Thank you to Sea Hag Cider for supporting our Duck Derby!
When: Wednesday, May 7 at 5:30 PM
Where: Sea Hag Cider (Ryan is opening up just for us!) We’ll have access to Ryan’s brand-new meeting room — so let’s show up strong and make it a fun evening!
We’re doing an appetizer potluck, (as they don’t provide them) so bring a snack to share if you’d like. Non-alcoholic drinks are welcome too — just be sure they’re in their original containers.
I’ll have plates, napkins, forks, and spoons ready to go!

Lindsay Stewart, M.Ed., is the Director of Sweet Tree Arts and Founder of Sweetland School, a Reggio-inspired, project-based K-6 elementary school program in Hope, Maine. She has been teaching in the arts and alternative education settings for the past 20 years. Lindsay gained her Masters in Education through Lesley University’s Creative Arts and Learning program and received her undergraduate degree in Art and Music from Colby College. Creatively she works as a printmaker and photographer. Lindsay believes art can be shared by all ages and all abilities on many levels – we create as active participants, engage as observers and share experiences together enriching our lives and building empathy when we explore the world through the Arts. Lindsay is proud to be a member of the Maine Arts Leadership Initiative. She continues to share ideas locally and across the state of Maine around Creativity, Growth Mindset and Listening and Responding through the Arts. |
